The latest addition to the broad spectrum of activities that LPP manages is the Career Counseling Programme for young job-seekers. Under the programme, trainers from Lahore are charged with the responsibility of improving employment opportunities by giving seminars on the professional method of applying, as well as giving individual consultancy to each candidate.
With a collaborative initiative of UNICEF, Social Welfare Department Punjab, and LPP, the project focused on children’s rights to participation and protection as enunciated by the Convention for Rights of the Child. ECCP commenced on June 1, 2012 and ended on December 31, 2012. The project was implemented in two districts of South Punjab i.e. District Lodhran and District Bahawalpur
Incepted with a vision to promote equitable development and
uniform access to opportunities, regardless of gender or age,
LPP has carried out a broad range of short-term projects to
promote the social wellbeing of children and women.
Building capacity of institutions and individuals is the cornerstone for creating sustainable change. Through the establishment of Village Development Councils, and Sanitation Management Committees, the organization seeks to empower community residents. Morover, government officers and other relevant staff is also invited and trained in order to ensure the propagation of LPP’s best practices.
