The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), otherwise known as the Global Goals, are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. At Lodhran Pilot Project (LPP), we focus on 8 of these Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Our Work
Dairy Development
Community Dairy Development Program (CDDP) has been started in District Lodhran to build sustainable livelihoods for vulnerable communities living in poverty.
Health
A medical camp was organized by LPP with collaboration of Wareesa Islam Trust where doctors affiliated with WIT attended the camp and free medical checkups and free consultation.
Women Empowerment
LPP has taken step to enrich the courageous women of Lodhran by using vocational training for empowering them by establishing sewing centers under the umbrella of ”Women Empowerment” project.
Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH)
PP has worked in the designing and installation of low-cost Bio Sand Water Filters in localities that have mild to moderately contaminated water. Constructed through a component-sharing approach.
Decent Work & Economic Growth
LPP manages the Career Counseling Programme (CCP) for young job-seekers. Under the Programme, trainers from Lahore are charged with the responsibility of improving employment opportunities.
Climate Change & Disaster Risk Management
Southern Punjab and Interior Sindh form the majority of the flood plains in Pakistan, and with recurrent floods in the recent history.
Peace Building through Sports & Culture
With a collaborative initiative of UNICEF, Social Welfare Department Punjab, and LPP, the project focused on children’s rights to participation and protection as enunciated by the Convention for Rights of the Child.
